The 128 Squadron music program offers a dynamic and engaging learning experience where cadets have the opportunity to receive music instruction at no cost to them. It is a fantastic opportunity for beginning musicians eager to learn their first instrument as well as intermediate and advanced musicians wanting to challenge their skills. As part of the curriculum the Squadron is able to provide all equipment necessary to effectively learn music theory and practice.

Cadets who take part in the music program will form the 128 Squadron Band which welcomes musicians of all abilities to participate in the Thorold Santa Claus Parade, ceremonial parades, cadet band competitions, and the Trinity United Church's Talent Show.

The purpose of the 128 Squadron Band is to support the Squadron through music to enhance morale and esprit de corps. The band preserves RCAF musical traditions and strives to light the fire of interest for youth to pursue further interest in music.

By the end of the training year band members will be able to play various concert music pieces while simultaneously executing military band precision routines. Cadets will also have the opportunity to attend summer music courses to further develop their musical abilities at Cadet Summer Training Centres.
