Squadron History

The Thorold Flying Dragons was the fifth Air Cadet Squadron in the Niagara area. The squadron was formed on April 29, 1942.

The squadron was chartered in only the second year of the Air Cadet movement. In the late 1940's the unit became a High School Squadron which had the first year high school boys joining the squadron. Though no longer a High School Squadron, 128 still parades in the City of Thorold with their local headquarters out of the Trinity United Church and are proud to serve over 70 years for and with the City.
